Artist's Comments

One of many sphinx-like creatures that guard the gardens of the Drooping Willowflowers, also in the Dream Plane, to be included in an upcoming book. The tails, though light and feathery in appearance, are actually made up of rows of metallic foil-thin blades that can be flexed out or folded in, sharp enough to cut paper at a glance.

I have to say, your oil work here is damn impressive. I like the contrast with the high stone wall behind her.

I love the idea and you have managed to paint it so beautifully.
It's so nice when someone has the patient and skills to draw every little detail.

Another amazing piece!! I love the concept of the creature, the alluring gaze and the sheer brilliance with which this was painted.

One question, which I've always wanted to know: What's masonite?

With enough patience and saliva, the ant can devour the elephant
:icondreamweaverz32:
Thanks for the comments, first off - masonite is ground up wood pressed together into a glass-smooth surface - it's like what they make clipboards and sketchbook holders out of, minus the clamps :)

English doesn't borrow from other languages; English follows other languages down dark alleys, knocks them over, and sifts through their pockets for loose grammar.
